Terms of Service

What you agree to when you back an event here: your account, your funds, how an event resolves, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Draft for review. The structure, the headings and the dates are real, and the wording below is a first draft written from what this product has already decided rather than an operative term: it has not been through legal review and nothing here is in force. Where a fact is not settled yet, the section that needs it says so.
Last updated 3 August 2026Effective immediately for accounts opened from this date. Effective 3 October 2026 for accounts opened before it.What changed: the resolution section now names the fallback source, and the dispute window moved from 24 to 72 hours. The previous version stays available.
Your USDC is held 1:1 and we never lend it. It sits in a segregated balance you can check on-chain at any time. It is not lent, staked, or used as working capital. Every event resolves against a named public source and the resolution is recorded where anyone can read it.
How resolution works

1. What this document is

This is the agreement between you and Yonder. It covers your account, the money in it, the events you back and what happens when something goes wrong. It does not cover the outcome of any event: nobody here is telling you what will happen or what to do about it.

It is written to be read once, before you need it. Where a clause could be short and vague or long and specific, it is long and specific, because the parts of this document that matter are the parts a person only reads on the worst day.

By opening an account you accept it. If you do not accept it, you can still read every event, every rule and every resolution without one.

2. Who we are, and who this covers

Yonder is the operator of this service. The legal entity and its registered address are not settled yet. They are named here before the product accepts its first real payment, which is the moment this whole document has to be in force rather than in draft. Until then this page is a draft and nothing on it can be enforced by us or against you.

You must be 18 or older to hold an account. An account is personal: one person, one account, in your own name, and never operated for somebody else. You may not open a second account after we have closed your first.

Where this document says you it means the account holder. Where it says we it means the operator above.

3. Your account

You can browse every part of this product without an account. You are asked to create one at the moment you confirm your first bet, and not before, because there is nothing to hold until then.

You sign in through Google, X or Apple. We receive your name and email address from them and nothing else; we never receive your password. Keeping that provider account secure is your responsibility, and anyone who can sign in to it can act on your Yonder account.

Tell us straight away if you believe someone else has used your account. We will freeze it while we look, and a frozen account keeps every open bet, which continues to resolve and pay out normally.

4. Backing an event

A bet is a stake on one side of a stated question. You choose YES or NO, you enter an amount, and the panel shows the price for that amount, the fee, the total and what each outcome pays before you confirm.

The price you are shown is the price you get. It is computed for the amount in the box, so typing a larger amount can change it, and it is fixed at the moment you confirm. It cannot move against you between the panel and the bet.

The minimum bet is $1 and there is no maximum. The stake leaves your available balance when you confirm and is held against that event until it resolves. A confirmed bet cannot be cancelled, because the price you took has already moved the market for everyone after you.

You are betting against the market, not against another named person. The price moves because of what everyone bets, including you.

5. How an event resolves

Every event names its source before it opens. The source is a public record you can go and read: a price feed, an official notice, a published figure. The rule is written as a comparison rather than as a judgement, so the question has one answer instead of an argument.

Most events are read by a program at the stated time. Where a question needs a person to read it, the event says so before you bet. Either way the reading is published with the outcome: the value, the threshold it was measured against, the source and the time it was taken.

If the source is late, missing, or returns something the rule did not anticipate, the event moves to Needs review and stays open. It is then read by a person against the same rule. Silence is never read as NO. No event resolves because nothing answered.

An event can also be Cancelled, which happens when the question turns out to be unanswerable against its own rule. Every stake on a cancelled event is returned in full, and no fee is kept.

A resolution can be challenged for 72 hours after it is published, by writing to the address in section 14 and naming the reading you disagree with. A challenge is answered by a person against the source, and if the reading was wrong the event is re-resolved and every position is settled again.

6. Your money

Your balance is USDC. It is held one to one in a segregated account, which means it is not ours and does not appear on our books as ours. It is not lent, staked, invested or used as working capital at any point, so a bad quarter for us is not a bad quarter for your balance.

Your balance has two parts. Available is what you can bet or withdraw right now. Held is the total of your open bets, which is released when each of those events resolves. Nothing moves between markets and nothing is swept.

You can withdraw the available part at any time, to the wallet you nominate. A withdrawal is not a favour we grant and it needs no reason. The only thing that can delay one is a legal obligation we can name to you, and we will name it.

We do not pay interest on a balance and we do not charge for holding one. Adding funds by card is converted to USDC by Transak, which is a separate company with its own terms, and the minimum is $10.

7. Fees

There is one fee: 1.5% of your stake, charged when you place a bet. It is shown in the panel with the total before you confirm, and it is never taken afterwards.

There is no fee on a resolution, no fee on a withdrawal charged by us, and no monthly or inactivity charge. A payment route may charge its own cost to move money in, and where it does, that cost is shown before you pay it.

If we ever add a charge, it is a change to this document under section 12 and it applies only to bets placed after it takes effect.

8. Where the service is available

The list of places the service is not offered is not settled yet. It is decided before the product accepts its first real payment and published here in full. What is already decided is where it is TOLD to you: at sign-up, not at withdrawal. A service that takes your money and finds out afterwards that it should not have is not making a mistake, it is running a business on one.

If you move to an excluded place while holding an account, we will tell you, stop you opening new bets, and let every open bet resolve and pay out normally. Your balance remains yours and remains withdrawable.

Using a tool to hide where you are is a breach of this section, and it is one of the grounds in section 10.

9. Content you post

You can post comments on an event and choose a display name. What you write is yours. You give us the permission we need to show it on the service and nothing wider than that.

Do not post anything unlawful, anything that identifies another person without their consent, or anything intended to move a market you hold a position in. Do not impersonate anyone, including us.

We remove content that breaks this section and tell the person who posted it why. Comments on a resolved event stay readable, because a market's argument is part of its record.

10. When an account can be suspended or closed

We may restrict, suspend or close an account on these grounds and no others: you are under 18; you hold more than one account; you are in an excluded place; you have given us information we can show to be false; you are acting to manipulate a market rather than to take a view on it; or a law requires it and we can point to the law.

The list above is the whole list. There is no general clause at the end of it that swallows the rest.

If we restrict an account we tell you which ground applies and what would lift it. Open bets continue to resolve and pay out, and your balance stays withdrawable, unless the ground is one a law forbids us to pay out under, in which case we name the law.

11. If something goes wrong

We run this service with reasonable care and we do not promise it is always available. Maintenance, an outage or a failure at a provider can stop you reaching it, and where that stops you placing a bet, the bet is simply not placed.

A price shown wrongly is corrected and the bets placed against it are not. If our own error puts a price on screen that the market did not have, we honour it: you took the price you were shown, which is the whole promise of section 4. The correction applies from the moment it is made.

Where an event resolves late, every position resolves at the outcome the rule gives, not at the time it was read. A delay does not change who was right.

We are responsible for the money we hold for you and for resolving events against the rule each one publishes. We are not responsible for what you decide to bet, for a loss on a correct resolution, or for a third party you reach through this service, including your sign-in provider and the payment route.

12. Changes to this document

We change this document by publishing a new version with a date. The date at the top of this page is always the date of the version you are reading, and the previous version stays reachable.

A change takes effect immediately for an account opened after it is published, and after two months for an account opened before it, which is why the block at the top of this page prints 3 August and 3 October. Both dates are printed at the top of this page whenever they differ.

If a change is one you do not accept, you can close your account before it takes effect and withdraw everything available. Nothing in a change reaches back to a bet already placed.

13. Law and disputes

The law that governs this agreement and the forum for a dispute are not settled yet. They are named here before the product accepts its first real payment. This is one of three things this page cannot yet decide, and all three wait on the same answer.

What is decided is the order. A dispute starts informally: write to the address in section 14, describe what happened, and a person answers within five working days with a name attached. Most of what reaches that address is a resolution somebody disagrees with, and section 5 already gives that its own 72-hour route.

We will not require you to give up a right you have where you live in order to use this service.

14. How to reach us about this document

Write to legal@yonder.example for anything about this document. It is not product support and it is read by a person.

A reply is sent within five working days. If your question is about a resolution, name the event and the reading you disagree with, and section 5 sets out what happens next.

Step 1 of 3

Pick an event you follow

Every event asks one question, with a date and a named source. You see the odds, the one-line why and how it resolves before you put in a cent.

Step 2 of 3

Back YES or NO

The odds are a live price set by what people bet. Your payout is fixed at the price you took, so being early and right is worth more. One dollar minimum.

Step 3 of 3

Get paid when it resolves

It resolves against the source it named, and what was read is published with the result. Until then your money is held 1:1, never lent and never moved.
